The Microline CTA-3 reverse osmosis membrane. Although the complete CTA-3 system is not offered for sale, replacement membranes for these units are available. The recommended membrane replacement interval is two to three years depending on your water quality. All membranes are factory supplied O.E.M.
Note: CTA systems MUST be used in chlorinated water supply applications only! CTA (cellulose triacetate) reverse osmosis membranes have an organic composition, and are subject to biological attack. Because of this, you should only use a CTA based reverse osmosis system in applications where there is no biological contamination present, or where chlorine is present in the water as a disinfecting agent.
Because RO Membranes only require infrequent changing, they are not included in annual replacement filter sets. Pre and post filter cartridge sets must be ordered separately.
