CAI offers the 48,000 grain capacity WS2FM softener featuring the advanced Aqua-Pro 5000 series control system. With a fully programmable microprocessor control and battery back-up, this up-flow regeneration and proportional brining system continuously measures how much of the ion-exchange resin bed is exhausted. Based on this measurement, the unit only regenerates the exhausted portion of the bed - this conserves the amount of salt that is required during a normal regeneration, and provides the highest efficiency and lowest salt consumption. The system also provides high flow (1” connections standard) & low pressure drop, along with a fully programmable microprocessor control and battery back-up. The resin tank, manufactured by Structural, is poly lined and fiberglass reinforced. The standard softener is a "two tank" configuration with a separate poly brine tank. This is a premium system and comes complete with a light grey designer jacket and matching brine tank, 1.5 ft3 of premium grade Ionac C-249 resin, brine valve & safety float, and system by-pass valve. No turbulator or brine tank grid available with proportional brining systems.

Description
By-pass valve - This is a connection to your water supply that allows you to take your softener out-of-service. Used when you are away for an extended time, or if service is required to the unit. Included!
Deluxe Brine Tank and Grid - Our water softener system are always supplied with high quality brine tanks, and brine tank grids. Also called a salt tank platform, a grid is installed into the bottom of the brine (salt) tank, and prevents "salt bridging". Bridging can occur when too much contact with water causes salt pellets to "stick" to each other. Included!
Ion Exchange Resin -CAI Technologies water softener systems come standard with Ionac C-249. Supplied by the Bayer Corporation, and known as one of the highest grade cation exchange resins available, with C-249 your unit can provide years of trouble-free performance. Included!
High Flow Distributor - The distributor is the riser tube that is located in the center of the ion-exchange resin bed. This up-flow system is equipped with a high flow 1" riser and gravel underbed. Included!
