The 3/4" 24,000 grain capacity WS1SM (Autotrol 255/460i control) water softener is available at a special reduced price when purchased together with our N15-M 1.5 ft3 automatic backwashing pH neutralizer. The WS1SM is an advanced microprocessor based metered (on-demand) 3/4" water softener. The neutralizer is configured with a "high-flow" Autotrol 263/440i control. The package contains all of our standard features; by-pass valves on both systems, turbulator distributor, 18x33 brine tank with grid and safety float, Ionac C-249 resin for the water softener, dome port hole on the neutralizer tank for easy refilling of the calcite media.

Description
By-pass valve - This is a connection to your water supply that allows you to take your softener out-of-service. Used when you are away for an extended time, or if service is required to the unit. Included on both units!
Round Brine Tank and Grid - Our water softener system are always supplied with high quality round brine tanks, and brine tank grids. Also called a salt tank platform, a grid is installed into the bottom of the brine (salt) tank, and prevents "salt bridging". Bridging can occur when too much contact with water causes salt pellets to "stick" to each other. Included!
Ion Exchange Resin -CAI Technologies water softener systems come standard with Ionac C-249. Supplied by the Bayer Corporation, and known as one of the highest grade cation exchange resins available, with C-249 your unit can provide years of trouble-free performance. Included!
Turbulator Distributor - The distributor is the riser tube that is located in the center of the ion-exchange resin bed. With a standard design, water passes down through the resin and up through the distributor during the water softening process. CAI adds a turbulator in standard "down-flow" designed water softeners. During regeneration, a turbulator physically moves the resin from the bottom of the bed to the top, stirring up the resin to increase sediment removal and water softener efficiency. Turbulator available in 24K, 32K and 48K sized systems only - 64K and larger systems are equipped with a high flow riser and gravel underbed. Included!
Top Quality pH Neutralizer Media - Our pH neutralizers use only the best quality neutralizer media. Calcite is crushed white marble, naturally occurring and mined in the United States, and used to alter acidic water to a neutral, less corrosive value. One of the advantages of Calcite is its self-limiting property - correcting pH only enough to reach a non-corrosive equilibrium - it does not overcorrect pH under normal conditions. As water passes through the media bed contained within the neutralizer, it contacts the Calcite, and acidic waters slowly dissolve the calcium carbonate to raise the overall pH. The resulting neutral values reduce the potential leaching of copper, lead and other metals that can be found in plumbing systems. The system automatically backwashes to prevent packing, reorganizing the Calcite bed, and maintaining high flow rates. Included!

Insulating Tank Jacket - Tank jackets are available that add a designer look to your softener. Jackets also provide insulation, and prevent “sweating” in damp locations. Tank jackets must be used when installing a softener out-of-doors. Jackets are single piece in almond – available for 24K, 32K, & 48K sized water softeners only - not available for 64K size softeners or pH neutralizers. Additional $30
