A 1:1 mix of calcite (calcium carbonate) and Corosex (magnesium oxide) media is available for use in backwashing pH neutralizers. Magnesium oxide is a stronger neutralizing agent. This mix is used in very low pH applications, or where the TDS (total dissolved solids) level is elevated. Note: This 1:1 mix ratio must be backwashed! Use of this mix ratio without regular backwashing may cause bed failure. Supplied in 1/2 cubic foot containers.
